Let’s start with the meaning of the term 母難. 母 is mother, and here 難 is pronounced in the fourth tone and it means 受難, to suffer great pain, be in tremendous distress. 受難 is the word in Chinese to refer to the Passion of Jesus Christ. So, when is the day that each mother goes through great physical pain? When is〈母難(nàn)日〉?
Each year on this day many people celebrate it with cakes, parties and a lot of happiness. And that is the birthday. This poem was written by Yú Guāngzhōng to commemorate his mother. Yú Guāngzhōng is a famous writer, poet, translator, educator and literary critic of great prestige in the Chinese world. This poem is written with simple vocabulary but deep and rich in sentiments. 〈母難(nàn)日〉 is a trilogy. Following is the first set of this poem.

Antes de todo, voy a explicar el término 母難. 母 refiere a madre y 難 aquí se pronuncia en el cuarto tono y signica 受難. 受難 quiere decir sufrir un gran dolor. De hecho, 受難 es la palabra en chino para referir a la Pasión de Cristo. Entonces, ¿cuál día es cuando cada madre pasa por un gran sufrimiento físico? ¿Qué día es el〈母難(nàn)日〉?
Es el día del cumpleaños. Este poema fue escrito por Yú Guāngzhōng para recordar a su madre. Yú Guāngzhōng es un escritor, poeta, traductor, educador y critico literario de gran fama en el mundo de chinohablantes. Este poema me ha hecho entristecerme un poco
Creo que todos los que hayamos perdido a nuestra madre
podrémos identificarnos con el sentimiento que pone
(余光中 Yú Guāngzhōng ) en estas líneas.
En mi caso creo que el segundo llanto tiene una carga mucho más fuerte
Porque no está ella aquí para confortar nuestro dolor.
